Q: How long have you been a fisherman?
A: I’ve fished since I was a young boy.

Q: When did you have the idea for The Buzz Blaster?
A: The idea for the Buzz Blaster was developed while I was working to develop a vibrating frog.

Q: What have been some of your experiences using the rod?
A: It is always exciting to fish during the months that bass spawn (Jan, Feb, March and April). Spawning beds are in shallow water, making it easy to actually see the fish. The fish stay on the bed to protect the egg. In presenting the lure, the fish usually take, lip it and remove it from the bed. To catch the fish it has to inhale the lure; otherwise, you cannot catch the fish. With The Buzz Blaster feature, you present the lure to the fish on the bed; push the button, which sends the vibration to the lure causing the fish to strike, inhaling the lure. The excitement of catching fish is at its peak, when you can actually see The Buzz Blaster work.

Q: Talk about the custom rods you make.
A: I’ve been building custom rods for thirty-five years and each rod is different in in design and/or color. A custom rod requires starting with a rod, installing the handle, the reel seat and then lining the rod on the “spline”. I use up to 50 individual threads for one rod to complete a specific design. There are several different designs from which to choose.
